OUT OF THEIR ELEMENT – NASCAR DRIVERS DRIVING PRO STOCK

Nascar racers Kenny Wallace and Clint Bowyer hit the dragstrip to launch a Pro Stock car. “Its really an incredible feeling when the cars really starting to bite and the horsepower is really starting to lay into it. When it starts to really take a bite the car squats and she really wants to go. You know youre talking double the horsepower that youre used to and triple the traction. Its a pretty good hot rod.” – NASCAR racer Clint Bowyer

Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Hunt Valley, Md. (Vocus) February 12, 2010

CARCHEX , the industry-leading provider for Extended Vehicle Protection, today announced a multi-faceted sponsorship agreement with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and JR Motorsports, his racing management enterprise. Earnhardt Jr. will endorse the CARCHEX brand exclusively in the Extended Vehicle Protection category, appearing in advertising, marketing and on the CARCHEX website. And beginning this Saturday, Feb. 13th at Daytona International Speedway, CARCHEX becomes an official sponsor of the No. 88 Chevrolet for the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series events.

“The key for me in endorsing CARCHEX was the credibility, track record, and strong reputation that the brand has established,” said Earnhardt Jr. “I’m proud to begin what I hope is a long and mutually successful relationship with CARCHEX.”

Said CARCHEX CEO Jason Goldsmith, “Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the biggest name in motorsports and we are thrilled to earn his endorsement as CARCHEX continues to distinguish itself as the gold standard in a fast-growing industry. Dale Jr. joins the growing list of top automotive brands like Carfax , Kelley Blue Book , and LendingTree Autos who have partnered with CARCHEX and believe in the value that CARCHEX brings to consumers.”

As an associate sponsor of the No. 88 Chevrolet, the CARCHEX brand will appear on the vehicle and other properties, such as team haulers and uniforms during Nationwide Series Race events. The No. 88 Chevrolet will most often be driven by rising star Kelly Bires, while Earnhardt Jr. will also drive the No. 88 Chevy for select Nationwide Series events, including this week’s race at Daytona International Speedway.

“We are excited to add CARCHEX to the JR Motorsports family,” said Kelley Earnhardt, GM and co-owner of JR Motorsports. “We’ve done our homework and believe in the CARCHEX brand as the best in its industry.”

With its decade-long commitment to customer service and integrity, CARCHEX has earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. The company will continue its existing, successful relationship with spokesman Pat Goss, America’s trusted mechanic and segment host on TV’s MotorWeek.

“With Dale Jr.’s massive popularity and Pat’s credibility as a master technician, CARCHEX has put together an amazing 1-2 punch in endorsement relationships,” Goldsmith added. “By delivering on our brand promise of ‘customer experience above all’ CARCHEX has attracted the best partners in our industry.”

NASCAR 2011 Season Brings Changes, but Collectors Know the Value of NASCAR Collectibles Stays Strong

A Rare NASCAR Collectible from The Hamilton Collection

(Vocus/PRWEB) February 10, 2011

Change was the name of the game for the 2010 NASCAR season, especially with the advent of the new NASCAR Hall of Fame®. And more new faces, locations and rules are anticipated for this year.

But one thing never changes: the thrill of the races. Motorsport Editions™ has captured this excitement by offering authentic NASCAR gifts, including NASCAR collectibles and NASCAR diecasts.

Our NASCAR diecast collectibles evoke the bold glory of one of America’s most popular sports, from autographed NASCAR diecasts of Richard Petty’s 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to commemorative figurines of Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt.

You can bring racing’s legendary action into your home with the NASCAR Hall of Fame Collector Plate Collection. Fully authorized by NASCAR®, this collection brings you collector plate NASCAR collectibles starting with full color historic imagery of Dale Earnhardt, to be followed by Richard Petty, Junior Johnson and other greats. You can display your racing heroes on wooden plate stands, which come free with each of the porcelain plates in this limited-edition collection, offered exclusively from Motorsport Editions™.

Another way to commemorate NASCAR events and greats is by collecting the first-ever limited-edition collection of silver-plated NASCAR collectible coins honoring the inductees of the NASCAR Hall Of Fame®, which include first day covers and collector cards. Issue One is the Dale Earnhardt coin and cover, which will be followed by the Richard Petty collectibles, and then by additional NASCAR coins with commemorative covers. As a bonus, collectors will also receive a deluxe collector’s box free to preserve the collection in top condition.

The commemorative coins in this NASCAR Hall of Fame collection are U.S. minted and sealed within transparent protective cases. Plus, the collector cards and coins fit inside their first day covers, which are officially postmarked by the U.S. Post Office in Charlotte on the day of the induction.

The 39mm coins feature vibrant full-color imagery on both sides. They are showcased on collector cards, along with highlights about the inductees’ achievements. Details of the specifications for each coin and stamp are also included.

Included in our NASCAR diecast collectibles is the full array of Dale Earnhardt’s championship cars. If you want an entire collection of Dale Earnhardt’s championship cars right now, you can order a set of his NASCAR diecasts, the “7-Time Champion” Diecast Set , which comes in its own collectible metal case. This limited-edition collector set contains seven 1:64 scale diecast cars, photos, and more.

Earnhardt fans will remember Dale Jr.’s historic tribute to his dad in 2010, when he drove his father’s legendary “blue and yellow” colors to victory at Daytona International Speedway. Our limited-edition collectible ‘Salute to Dale #3’ is a framed print wall décor. It celebrates this historic race with photos of father and son, plus a genuine piece of tire from Dale Jr.’s winning Wrangler Chevrolet.

Of course, Dale Jr., #88, has his own following. One of our great NASCAR gifts – made especially for his female fans – is a Dolly Mama humorous figurine, who carries a sign that says: “If You’re Not Dale Jr. I’m Not Interested!” This limited-edition 5” fan is hand-painted, sporting fun details like the lipstick marks on Dale Jr.’s photo and the 88s that cover her boots.

As NASCAR fans revving up for the 2011 season and anticipating more excitement, visit Motorsport Editions™ for a wide selection of racing collectibles and gifts.

War-Wagon.com weBauction Yields $169.70 For Tony Stewart Foundation

(PRWEB) July 30, 2004

It was a week-long event ending July 27 that saw over three hundred visitors and 13 bids on an original cartoon featuring Tony Stewart. With all proceeds to be donated to The Tony Stewart Foundation, the first ever War-Wagon weBauction was a resounding success!

Lori Munro, artist and owner of Lori’s War-Wagon – Cartoons at 200mph stated, “I was pretty impressed that race fans were interested enough to put their hard-earned money on the line for the likes of a piece of cartoon-art! It feels great to have a good response, and even better that all of the money will go to charity!”

The winning bid of $ 112.70 went to Tom Fuller of Connecticut, who was interested in winning the artwork for his wife, Becky, “I really wanted to get this because Becky is a big time Tony Stewart Fan”. Tom is an avid Dale Jarrett fan and has a website devoted to him at http://www.dalejarrett4ever.com

But the joy didn’t stop there. Another bidder in the same auction decided that if he couldn’t win the framed artwork, he’d feel just as good throwing some money into the pot to be donated to The Tony Stewart Foundation as well. Dana Rea of http://www.Lap57.com sent a donation of $ 57., the amount being on behalf of his own website’s domain name.

States Munro, “I was very pleasantly surprised with the generosity of Dana Rea and of course, Tom Fuller for making this auction as success!”

The grand total to be sent to The Tony Stewart Foundation for this auction rose to $ 169.70.

Will there be another auction like this in the future? War-Wagon artist Lori Munro replies, “The event was well received, and with eBay’s system working so smoothly, I will indeed do this again in the future, it would be neat to do it a couple or three times per year. There is always some fresh art floating around in my studio and it’s great to be able to share it with other race fans while at the same time, doing something worthwhile with the money. It’ll be another driver’s turn, their charity, we’ll all just have to wait and see….. !”
